To that end, Moab, the 10 Premier Hikes (hikingcamping.com, $17.95) lists 10 trips to take in and around the Moab area, including Corona Arch, Fisher Towers, Devils Garden, Murphy Hogback and other well-known landmarks. Each trip is rated for difficulty, with mileage and time required to complete the hike, a map and detailed directions. The book also provides background on the history and geology of the area, lists major annual events and contains limited information on where to stay and eat. For first-time visitors especially, this would be helplful information.
