Skies along the Wasatch Front should stay clear for the rest of the weekend after a Friday evening storm dumped two to four inches of snow on the Salt Lake valley, the National Weather Service said.

The next chance for snow will Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning, said meteorologist Eric Schoening.

The storm did not cause major traffic problems on Utah's highways, said Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Blaine Robbins. Four crashes and a few slide-offs occurred between Salt Lake and Utah Counties, but none involved serious injuries, Robbins said.

While the skies may be clear, temperatures will be cold in the coming days, Schoening said. Overnight lows will dip to 8 or 9 degrees. Monday's flurries are expected to be smaller than Friday's storm.
