I thank latter-day monkey-wrencher Tim DeChristopher with all my conservationist heart! ("Bogus bidder had to take a chance," Tribune , Dec. 23). We demonstrated during the Vietnam War in Washington -- and it eventually worked. That spirit of nonviolent activism has faded; now, once again it raises its shining flag.
DeChristopher put himself on the line, without any threat of aggression to others, and he made a huge difference.
If he faces a court case, he can count on lots of us to support him. Thank you!
