Snowbird Ski & Summer Resort will be the first stop on The North Face Masters of Snowboarding big mountain competition.
The event will take place Jan. 29-Feb. 1 at Snowbird. After a mid-February competition at Crested Butte, Colo., the series concludes March 5-8 at Kirkwood, Calif. Competitors vie for cash prizes totaling $45,000.
All male and female snowboarders 18 and older are eligible to compete. Registration is open at www.thenorthfacemasters.com. That Web site also will carry same-day coverage of the semifinal and final rounds of each event.
