The team will host an intra-squad starting at 7 p.m. There will be activities for young fans such as face painting and an autograph session after the practice meet.
Admission and parking are free.
Coach Greg Marsden said Friday's event will be a good way for fans to get a preview of the team, as well as for the team to get accustomed to performing in the Huntsman Center.
The Utes will introduce two freshmen, Cortni Beers and Stephanie McAllister, who are expected to contribute right away.
Utah opens the season against No. 4 UCLA on Jan. 9.
"It would be unfair to put them in that kind of atmosphere without easing them into it first," Marsden said. "This is a good chance for them to see what the college experience is like."
The Utes, led by seniors Nina Kim and Kristina Baskett, have had a good preseason, Marsden said.
"We're remarkably healthy and everyone is in good shape," he said. "I'm very pleased with the progress."
