New Utah State coach Gary Andersen has cleaned out Weber State's locker, in a sense.

On Monday, Anderson added two Weber State defensive assistants to his coaching staff and Weber State coach Ron McBride anticipates that another assistant will go to the Aggies.

"I'm losing them because they're excellent coaches," McBride said. "It's tough to lose them but it's a good move for them."

Kevin Clune and Chad Kauha'aha'a will join Utah State as a linebackers coach and a defensive line coach, respectively.

Clune and Kauha'aha'a round out Andersen's defensive staff.

Clune and Kauha'aha'a come to Utah State with four years of experience with Weber State, which won a share of the Big Sky Conferene title this year and advanced to the second round of the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs.

Under Clune's direction, the Wildcats' defense was second in the conference in 2006 and 2007.

Clune worked with Andersen when he coached at SUU.

"Our defensive beliefs are extremely close," Andersen said in a press release. "He brings coordinator experience to us, something that is invaluable. [And] in my opinion, Chad is one of the best recruiters in the country."
