Posted: 1:25 PM- Cottonwood held on to beat Pine View 19-14 Friday to advance to the Class 4A state championship game.
The Colts had a 19-0 lead late in the third quarter, but had to withstand a furious Panther rally for the win.
Senior running back Isi Sofele scored all three touchdowns for Cottonwood. Justin Ence scored twice for Pine View. This is the second time the two teams have met this season. The Colts defeated the Panthers 52-23 in the regular season.
With the win, Cottonwood will face the Timpview-Mountain Crest winner.
