Posted: 10:13 AM- About half a dozen fire engines were rushed to the LDS Church Office Building in downtown Salt Lake City late Wednesday morning, but it did not turn out to be an emergency situation.
A spokeswoman says the call to fire crews about 10 a.m. was made after smoke was seen coming from the area of the 28th floor.
No injuries were reported, and there was no news of evacuations being conducted.
Salt Lake City Fire Capt. Carlene Montanez said the smoke appears to have been caused by a minor malfunction in an elevator motor.
