BYU Basketball: Cougars fall at home to UNLV

PROVO -- Brigham Young's hold over Mountain West Conference opponents at the Marriott Center was snapped Wednesday night in one

of the worst ways possible.

Blowing a 13-point halftime lead, the Cougars were upset 76-70 by UNLV .

BYU led 43-30 at the break, but missed 16 of their first 17 shots to start the second half and lost their big lead.

Wink Adams led UNLV with 22 points on 7-for-16 shooting, while Jonathan Tavernari led BYU with 21 and Jimmer Fredette added 19.
