Daybreak, Kennecott Land's South Jordan community, was ranked by Cottage Living as the No. 3 cottage community in the magazine's July/August 2007 issue. The article focused on communities that "improve the quality of life." Cottage Living is a subsidiary of Time Inc.
MasterControl Inc., a Cottonwood Heights company that provides software services to life sciences companies, has acquired AMG IT Systems Ltd., a British firm. Terms were not disclosed. MasterControl CEO Jonathan Beckstrand said the acquisition of an AMG IT System product known as QAAD will increase his country's presence in Europe, as well as its pharmaceutical research, development and clinical operations.
Gamerz 2 LLC has opened its renovated computer game store at 12652 S. 2700 West, Suite D1, in Riverton. The store sells computer games, new game consoles, retail gaming accessories and software.
