Totally Awesome warranties
Another Utah computer company is offering to honor warranties on desktop systems purchased by customers of the now-defunct Totally Awesome Computers.
North Salt Lake's Star West Computers, an electronics industry fixture since 1985, says it, too, will accept as its own the repair and maintenance packages TAC offered until it was abruptly closed down last Friday by owner Dell Schanze.
Richard Holley, Star West's president and CEO, asked those interested in his company's offer to call 801-936-8000.
PCLaptops offered Friday to adopt TAC customers as well. PCLaptops owner Dan Young also has hired nearly 30 of TAC's 75 employees.
Those interested in PCLaptop's warranty adoption offer are asked to call 877-596-7283.
