EnergySolutions, Inc. announced Monday it has signed a $24.3 million contract with Chicago-based Exelon Nuclear to remove and dispose of obsolete materials and equipment from several of the utility's power plants.
Under the contract, the Salt Lake City-based nuclear waste company will remove obsolete equipment from and bring it to the company's radioactive waste landfill in Tooele County for disposal.
EnergySolutions' stock price closed at $8.95 per share Monday, down 9 cents, or 1 percent.
