The visitor center at the Bingham Canyon mine will close for the season at 8 p.m. on Nov. 1.

Kennecott Utah Copper expects to reopen the visitor center, elevation 6,340 feet, in April 2010. Through Nov. 1, it will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.

Admission to the visitor center, which is about 12300 South and 8400 West, is $5 per vehicle, $25 for a minibus and $50 for a bus. Entrance fees are tax deductible.
