Morris Murdock Travel is farming out its business travel line of work to another agency in order to focus on its leisure travel business.

Murdock's business travel will be managed by Hess Travel, based in Bountiful, the companies said Wednesday.

Becky Potts, president of Morris Travel, said she had been considering which direction she wanted her company to go and "the timing was right" to strike a partnership with Hess Travel.

She said the arrangement is not a merger.

Hess Travel concentrates on business travel. Its annual revenue was abut $59 million last year. Morris Murdock's business travel operations produced about $33 million.

Potts said 17 Murdock employees are being interviewed for positions at Hess Travel.
