Salt Lake Chamber honors individuals, businesses

A number of individuals and businesses will be honored at the annual meeting of the Salt Lake Chamber on Jan. 29.

The meeting will be staged at the Salt Lake City Marriott Downtown hotel from noon until 1:30 p.m.

Five people will receive Chamber Champion awards. They are:

» Kameron Emery, Mount Olympus Waters Inc., Salt Lake City.

» Kent Gibson, Zions Securities Corp., Salt Lake City.

» Gretta Spendlove with the law firm of Durham Jones & Pinegar, Salt Lake City.

» Mark Walker, Energy Solutions, Salt Lake City.

» Nathan Wickizer, Cache Valley Electric Co., Logan.

Four companies will receive small business awards from the chamber. They are:

» Mandarin Restaurant, Bountiful, Small Business of the Year.

» Sam Weller's Zion Bookstore, Salt Lake City, Entrepreneurial Success

» Junior Achievement of Utah, Salt Lake City, Community Service.

» Manuel's Fine Foods, Woods Cross, Minority Small Business.

Cost for event is $65 per person. Reservations will be accepted through Jan. 23.
