Digital TV fund runs out of money

A U.S. program to help consumers pay for equipment to keep some television sets working after the switch to digital transmissions Feb. 17 reached its $1.34 billion funding limit, and new applicants will be put on a waiting list. The program provides $40 coupons toward the cost of a converter box.

LG Electronics will start selling high-definition TV sets that stream Netflix videos directly from the Internet, without an additional device. The deal marks the first time Netflix's streaming service will be embedded in a television.
