Snell & Wilmer L.L.P., a full-service business law firm with offices in Phoenix and Tucson, Ariz.; Orange County, Calif.; Denver; Las Vegas; and Salt Lake City, has announced the opening of its office in Los Cabos, Mexico. The office marks the firm's seventh location and its first outside the United States, also making it the first United States-based law firm with a presence in Baja California Sur.

inthinc, a Salt Lake City developer and manufacturer of technologies to improve driving safety, has been awarded the Healthy Worksite Award from the Utah Council for Worksite Health Promotion. The company was recognized on behalf of an ongoing companywide initiative to increase employee education and participation in healthy lifestyle activities.

The National Manufacturers Association has given its Award for Manufacturing Legislative Excellence to Rep. Chris Cannon for voting 94 percent of the time to support manufacturing in America. He was one of 181 representatives and 43 senators cited by the association.

Relay Utah, one of the first relay telecommunication services offered in the United States, marks 20 years providing free "relay" translation services and communication-assistive equipment between hearing and hard-of-hearing/deaf individuals. Relay Utah's telecommunication relay specialists, so far this year, have distributed 566 amplified, CapTel Text captioning phones and text telephones and no cost to qualifying Utah Residents.

Staker Parson Cos., one of the West's leading producers of sand and rock product, ready-mixed concrete, asphalt, paving, and construction services, was recognized by the National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA). Staker Parson's Ogden, Smithfield and Brigham City hot-mix asphalt plants received NAPA's prestigious Diamond Achievement Commendation for Excellence in Hot-Mix Asphalt Plant/Site Operations.

Snowbird Ski & Summer Resort donated 6,568 pounds of nonperishable foot to the Utah Food Bank and $1,700 to the Wasatch Adaptive Sports Program after its annual Customer Appreciation Days, in which visitors received a free Tram ride in exchange for a canned good or cash donation.
