Sleeping Beauty 50th Anniversary Platinum Edition

Grade: A-

Like the movie¹s yodeling blonde princess-to-be, "Sleeping Beauty" has awoken after 50 years with this newly restored version that displays the Disney magic in all its pristine glory.

For the first time ever, the tale of Aurora¹s journey to meet her own Prince Charming is displayed in the original framing and color palette that Walt Disney himself imagined.

The digital restoration scrubs the print of all of the nicks and scrapes that time has inflicted, making it look like it was produced yesterday.

The two-disc Platinum Edition also includes a wealth of extras, including a making-of documentary, an alternate opening scene, deleted songs, a commentary track, and a bevy of children¹s interactive games. The title also is the first animated classic to appear on high definition Blu-ray.
