The Mountain West Conference released its 2017 football schedule Thursday afternoon. Utah State University will open the season with a nonconference game at Wisconsin on Sept. 1, followed by a home game against Idaho State and at Wake Forest.

The Aggies round out September with games at San Jose State and home against BYU.

The Aggies host Colorado State, Wyoming, Boise State and Hawaii in conference play. They'll play conference road games at San Jose State, UNLV, New Mexico and Air Force.

"As is the case every year in the Mountain West, we have a very challenging task with six bowl teams from our conference on our schedule for the third year in a row," Aggies fifth-year coach Matt Wells said in a release. "Once again, our fans will have the opportunity to see some high-caliber football in Maverik Stadium as we host five bowl teams from last season and play a total of nine bowl teams overall."

The full Aggies schedule is below.

The Mountain West Championship Game will be Dec. 2 at the home stadium of the higher ranked divisional champions.

The Mountain West nonconference schedule includes games with 2016 bowl teams Alabama (two games), Army, BYU (six games), Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Michigan, Navy, Northwestern, Ohio State, South Florida, Stanford, Texas A&M, Toledo, Tulsa, Utah, Wake Forest, Washington, Washington State (two games) and Wisconsin.
