Colorado Springs • Utah State senior guard Chris Smith and junior forward Jalen Moore were named to the Mountain West coaches' all-conference third team, it was announced Tuesday.

Smith averages 15.2 points per game and ranks second in three-point shooting percentage (.495). Moore averages 15.1 points per game and is 14th in the league in rebounding (5.8).

Meanwhile, Fresno State's Marvelle Harris was named Player of the Year and San Diego State's Steve Fisher was voted Coach of the Year by his peers. New Mexico's Elijah Brown, a transfer from Butler, was named Newcomer of the Year and San Diego State's Jeremy Hemsley was named Freshman of the Year. The Aztecs' Skylar Spencer was named Defensive Player of the Year for the second time and San Jose State's Brandon Clarke was selected as Sixth Man of the Year.

The coaches' all-conference first team included Josh Adams of Wyoming, James Webb III of Boise State, Trey Kell of San Diego State, Harris and Brown.

Named to the second team were Marqueze Coleman of Nevada, Patrick McCaw of UNLV, Antwan Scott of Colorado State, Winston Shepard of San Diego State and Tim Williams of New Mexico.

Joining the Utah State duo of Smith and Moore on the third team were Cameron Oliver of Nevada, Mikey Thompson of Boise State and Hemsley.

The coaches all-defensive team included Harris, Spencer, Caw, Shepard and Oliver.
