The Utah State's gymnastics team hosts its third annual "Meet the Aggies" event on Saturday at the Wayne Estes Center. It is free and open to the public.

"I have super-awesome athletes who are really great role models," coach Nadalie Walsh said. "I love having them get to know the kids and the crowd."

The meet-and-greet begins at 4 p.m., while other events and activities start at 4:30 p.m.

Utah State hosts its Blue and White intra-squad meet on Dec. 11 at the Spectrum. Featuring celebrity judges, it is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.

The Aggies open their 2016 season on Jan. 8 against Centenary. Three of Utah State's first four meets will be at home. The Aggies also play host to Kent State (Jan. 15) and Southern Utah (Jan. 29).

Utah State junior forward Jessica Brooksby has been named to the All-Mountain West Conference first team.

Brooksby led Utah State's women's soccer team in scoring with 12 goals. The Sky View High graduate scored in nine of the Aggies' 20 game and tied for third place on the school's all-time list for goals in one season.

Colorado College senior forward Sarah Schweiss was named the Mountain West's Offensive Player of the Year. San Jose State senior goalkeeper Zoe Makrigiannis earned the Defensive Player of the Year award. Leah Pruitt, a forward from San Diego State, was named Freshman of the Year. San Jose State's Lauren Hanson was selected Coach of the Year.

Utah State finished 10-8-2 overall and 5-5-1 in conference play. The Aggies missed qualifying for the Mountain West tournament after playing to a draw against Boise State in the final game of the regular season.
