Utah State has added to its 2015 class with Chris Copier, a 6-foot-6, 250-pound tight end from Snow College, signing with the Aggies. Originally Copier, who graduated from Bingham H.S., was going to walk with the hopes of getting a scholarship in the fall, but the Aggies went ahead and awarded him a scholarship.

Copier is enrolled and attending classes.

Zac Connors, Snow College's offensive coordinator, said the Aggies were getting a great player in Copier, who attended BYU for a season before leaving for a mission.

"He is a team captain and is a hard-working guy who is going to do well," he said. "His work ethic is great."

Connors said Copier's teammate, Gage Ferguson, a 6-foot, 195-pound defensive back from Mountain Crest, has also enrolled with the Aggies as a walk-on.

In addition, the Aggies picked up a commitment from Samson Faifili, who announced on twitter he had committed to the Aggies. The 6-foot, 245-pound Faifili is transferring from Kansas where he played in two games in 2013 before suffering a knee injury.

He was originally bound for Utah, but had a change of heart due to the coaching changes at Utah.

He received a hardship waiver so he will have two years of eligibility.

Faifili played running back, fullback. linebacker and strong safety for Granger H.S. before playing two seasons at American River College. There, he started every game as a freshman at both linebacker and fullback and finished with 114 tackles, nine tackles for loss and 12 sacks in two seasons.

In another roster note, Karris Johnson, a freshman running back out of San Ramon, Calif., has announced he is transferring. Johnson redshirted in 2013 and didn't play in 2014.
