The University of Utah and Southern Utah University will play in football during the 2024 season in Rice-Eccles Stadium. The Utah Athletic Department announced on Tuesday that the two sides have signed a contract.

The game will either take place on Aug. 29 or Aug. 31 pending approval from the Pac-12 Conference. The conference is not expected to make a decision until April 2024. The release from Utah indicated that Aug. 29 would be the first choice.

Utah and SUU played for the first time this past season in the Utes season opener at Rice-Eccles Stadium. The Utes won 24-0 in the team's first shutout since 2012.
