Utah football's non-conference schedule is getting a brush of regional flavor starting in 2020.

The Utes have agreed to a series with Wyoming, one of their former conference rivals. The series will be stretched out across five years, with games in 2020 and 2025.

The Utes will travel to War Memorial Stadium in Laramie in the first game, scheduled for Sept. 19, 2020. The Cowboys will return in 2025 to play at Rice-Eccles Stadium on Sept. 6.

Utah and Wyoming have met 83 times on the gridiron, with Utah accounting for a 51-31-1 series lead.

Wyoming was 8-6 last year, winning the Mountain West's Mountain Division.

In a media roundtable last month, http://bit.ly/2pFfbnj";>athletic director Chris Hill said he would be open to scheduling more home-and-home football games with Group of Five teams. But Utah's future non-conference schedule still lacks Power 5 punch: In the next nine years, Utah's only scheduled Power 5 opponent is Baylor (2023 and 2024).
