Wrapping up how Utah's players on active NFL rosters performed in Week Eight.

Minnesota running back MATT ASIATA • The onetime Hunter star had one carry for 5 yards and three receptions for six yards, including a 12-yard pickup on third-and-11 that moved the chains in a 23-20 win over the Bears. Mark Craig described the big play in detail for the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Jacksonville guard ZANE BEADLES • The Jaguars' bye came at a good time for the Hillcrest grad, who had his left foot in a boot last week. Team writer John Oehser wrote that "continues to struggle at times," and might receive a challenge from backup Tyler Shatley.

Oakland guard TONY BERGSTROM • The Skyline alum was active for the seventh time this season as the Raiders beat the Jets 34-20.

Miami guard SAM BRENNER • Brenner was inactive for a third straight week as the Dolphins fell to the Super Bowl champion Pats, 36-7, on Thursday night.

Cleveland outside linebacker PAUL KRUGER • The former Timpanogos quarterback started but did not record any stats in the Browns' 34-20 loss to the Cardinals and is said to be on the trade market with Tuesday's deadline looming. The Plain Dealer reported that Kruger said he wasn't surprised at the rumors because of "the way I've been used. … Your value can only be so high based on how much you're on the field."

Carolina defensive tackle STAR LOTULELEI • The Bingham product's Panthers meet the Colts on Monday night.

Miami cornerback BRICE MCCAIN • A knee injury again rendered McCain inactive.

Oakland cornerback KEITH MCGILL • McGill recorded his second tackle of the season.

Miami linebacker KOA MISI • Misi finished with six tackles, including one for a 1-yard loss. Dion Lewis got the better of him on a play that was best described by Misi himself.

Cleveland outside linebacker NATE ORCHARD • Highland's two-way legend tied his season-high with five tackles but "banged his shoulder," according to Browns head coach Mike Pettine, who expected to learn more about his status Monday.

Tennessee right tackle JEREMIAH POUTASI • Poutasi made his seventh straight start but was benched for the second time in three games, reported The Tennessean, while J.J. Watt had 2.5 sacks and a forced fumble and the Titans lost 20-6 to the host Texans.

New York Jets outside linebacker TREVOR REILLY • Reilly made his seventh stop of the season.

Philadelphia cornerback ERIC ROWE • The Eagles were on a bye, so Rowe took the opportunity to check out his other favorite team.

Miami defensive end DERRICK SHELBY • Shelby had two tackles, and the Sun Sentinel wrote that after four-time Pro Bowler Cameron Wake's season-ending Achilles injury, Shelby has a big opportunity.

New England defensive tackle SEALVER SILIGA • The West Jordan native had one tackle for a 2-yard loss.

Kansas City quarterback ALEX SMITH • As Travis Wilson tied him for the second-most wins in Utah history (21), Smith went 18-of-26 for 145 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 78 yards, including a career-long 49-yard scamper and another score, and the Chiefs pounded the Lions 45-10 at London's Wembley Stadium. He also scuffled with former BYU standout Ziggy Ansah, given an unsportsmanlike penalty despite Ansah's instigation.

Kansas City cornerback SEAN SMITH • Having been the subject of trade rumors — specifically, with the Patriots — Smith was tasked with defending Calvin Johnson and had his first interception this season (watch here), five tackles and three pass deflections.

Baltimore wideout STEVE SMITH SR. • Smith caught five passes for 82 yards as the Ravens beat the Chargers 29-26, moving into 10th all-time in receiving yards with 13,932. And then, just like that, he season was over when he tore his Achilles. At 37, having also battled through microfractures in his back, it is a testament to Smith's toughness that Ravens head coach Jim Harbaugh told media, "I have a feeling Steve Smith will be back."

Atlanta defensive tackle PAUL SOLIAI • Soliai had three tackles in a 23-20 loss to the Bucs.

San Diego safety ERIC WEDDLE • Hampered by a groin injury, Weddle was inactive for the second straight game. Safety Jahleel Addae told media after the game that Weddle is "doing his best to help us off the field coaching us up, being a leader, watching extra film with us."
