Utah received a re-commitment Wednesday from Snow College linebacker Kurtis Taufa, who this summer had changed his mind to favor Kansas. The 0-5 Jayhawks most recently drew less than 26,000 fans with No. 2 Baylor in town, while the No. 4 Utes are 5-0 with 34 straight home sellouts.

A 6-foot-2, 230-pound linebacker from Lone Peak, Taufa was previously described by Snow head coach Britt Maughan as "one of the most athletic linebackers we've had here at Snow," where Utah found current 'backer Sunia Tauteoli, "and one of the best tacklers."

An avalanche of Snow players have descended upon Utah's front seven two-deep in recent years, including former defensive tackles Star Lotulelei and Tenny Palepoi, current defensive tackle Pasoni Tasini and defensive tackle-to-be Handsome Tanielu.

Utah is also pursuing four-star Snow tackle Garett Bolles.

We'll do our best to connect with Taufa later Wednesday night.

Also: Four-star USC de-commitment Melquise Stovall and Jacksonville running back Hussein Howe are among the preps expected to visit Utah this weekend.

Here is a full list of committed players that The Tribune has reported on. Note that California DB Micah Croom and California DT David Fangupo are no longer listed. Croom is no longer considered committed, and Fangupo is likely to take longer than previously thought to qualify and is expected to join the team in 2017.
