The first press release of Utah's fall camp — which opens Thursday — has a few tidbits worth sharing:

• L.A. Harbor transfer Cory Butler will begin fall camp at wide receiver, even after Kyle Whittingham hinted at Pac-12 Media Days that Butler might start at cornerback to offset the absence of expected starter Dominique Hatfield. That may change, however. In fact, Whittingham hinted that Butler might play on both sides of the ball, in addition to returning kicks.

• Freshman Caleb Repp — at 6-foot-4, 202 pounds — was billed as a lanky athlete who could fill out at defensive end, a la Nate Orchard and Trevor Reilly. For starters, though, it appears Repp will play tight end. Repp was a wideout at Los Osos High in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., and totaled 34 receptions for 498 yards and five touchdowns in just six games last season, limited by a broken hand.

• A two-way player at Mountain Crest High, 2013 signee Kyle Christiansen is back from an LDS mission and now listed as a 6-foot-3, 338-pound defensive tackle.

• "The Drive," which features Utah and Oregon State this season, will first air on Pac-12 Networks on Sept. 23. From Sept. 30 through Dec. 2, 30-minute episodes will air each Wednesday. Pac-12 Networks will also shoot the Utah segment of "Football Training Camp" on Aug. 13, airing that night.

That's what we noticed. If you're inclined, scour this page and tell us what we missed.

Just a reminder that unlike spring, all practices in fall are closed to the public, including camp. As members of the media, we'll have access during the last 20 minutes of each camp day's first session, and the second session (on the five "two-a-days") will be closed to us.
