There's yet another fake controversy involving "Dancing with the Stars" (7 p.m., ABC/Ch. 4): — which, of course, ABC hopes will help pump up the ratings.

The controversy? Heather Morris is one of the contestants. And Morris, best known as Brittany on "Glee," is a professional dancer. So, the thinking goes, it's an unfair advantage.

That might be true if "Dancing with the Stars" was a legitimate competition. But it's not. It never has been. It's a popularity contest.

Do you really think that Donny Osmond, Amber Riley, Jennifer Grey et al. were the most talented dancers on the show?

C'mon!

The contestants and their dancing partners this season are:

-Bonner Bolton with Sharna Burgess

-Charo with Keo Motsepe

-Chris Kattan with Witney Carson

-David Ross with Lindsay Arnold

-Erika Jayne with Gleb Savchenko

-Heather Morris with Maksim Chmerkovskiy

-Mr. T with Kym Herjavec

-Nancy Kerrigan with Artem Chigvintsev

-Nick Viall with Peta Murgatroyd

-Normani Kordei with Valentin Chmerkovskiy

-Rashad Jennings with Emma Slater

-Simone Biles with Sasha Farber

• Also tonight, it's the beginning of a musical crossver on "Supergirl" (7 p.m., CW/Ch. 30) — but just barely. At the end of the episode, the Music Meister (Darren Criss, "Glee") shows up, but most of the musical is in Tuesday's episode of "The Flash.".
