TV or not TV

Wednesday on TV: ‘Survivor’ airs its 500th episode (and a Utahn returns to compete)

First Published      Last Updated Mar 08 2017 02:58 pm

The latest edition of "Survivor" (7 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2) is subtitled "Game Changers," because all 20 contestants have been on the show before and, supposedly, all of them made moves that changed the game.

Including Utahn Sierra Dawn Thomas, who finished fifth in "Survivor: Worlds Apart — White Collar vs. Blue Collar vs. No Collar" a couple of years ago.

The 34th-season premiere is also the 500th episode of "Survivor." (Yikes. I'm pretty sure I've seen them all.)

In this two-hour installment, there's an epic showdown as two "Survivor" legends set their sights on one another. Two other contestants try to put their past behind them and start a new game. And another castaway introduces the "spy shack" 2.0.
