President Barack Obama delivers his farewell address from the Oval Office (7 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2, ABC/Ch. 4, NBC/Ch. 5, Fox/Ch. 13, CNN, C-SPAN, MSNBC).

Things will, no doubt, be considerably different the next time we hear someone speaking from the Oval Office.

This telecast will, of course, cause some changes to tonight's regular schedule — several of your favorites may be either pre-empted or moved to different time slots.

• "This is Us" (8 p.m., NBC/C5. 5): Kate wrestles with her feelings following Toby's heart attack; Randall has to get used to his father's boyfriend; Jack and Rebecca look for a new home to house the triplets.

• "Taboo" (11 p.m., FX): Tom Hardy (who also produced) stars as James Delaney — an adventurer believed dead who returns to London in 1814 to claim his father's shipping company and a troubled legacy.

• "Shooter" (11 p.m., USA): Bob Lee must broker a exchange to save his family.
