Tonight marks the end of the college football season — it's the national championship game, and it's a rematch of last year's title matchup — No. 1 Alabama vs. No. 2 Clemson (6 p.m., ESPN).

ESPN will carry the main telecast, with Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit, Samantha Ponder, and Tom Rinaldi.

Over on ESPN2, it's The Homers Telecast — Joe Tessitore does the play, and he's joined by former Clemson player Tajh Boyd and former Alabama player Barrett Jones, who cheers for the Tigers and the Tide, respectively.

Among the other alternatives:

• ESPNU will air "ESPN Voices" — the game will "unfold in a living room-type setting. Participants include Michelle Beadle, Jay Bilas, Keyshawn Johnson, Bill Walton and Marcellus Wiley."

• The SEC Network will air "Finebaum Film Room" — Paul Finebaum, SEC Network analysts Greg McElroy and Booger McFarland and Florida coach Jim McElwain watch the game and provide instant analysis and reaction. And they will take live calls throughout the game.

• ESPN Classic and ESPN 3 will offer "Sounds of the Game" — Pre-game on-field festivities, including band performances, as well as ESPN's entire game telecast — without the commentators. The presentation's audio will be amplified with dozens of microphones positioned throughout the stadium in addition to the public address announcer and referee calls to simulate the in-stadium fan experience. Both school's halftime band performances will also be featured.

Basically, the various ESPN channels will be covering the game before, during and after the game … pretty much all day and all night.
