No, it's not New Year's Day. But because New Year's Day was on a Sunday this year, traditonal New Year's Day events like the parade and the college bowl games were moved to Monday.

• Rose Parade (9 a.m., ABC/Ch. 4, Hallmark, HGTV, RFDTV; 9:30 a.m., NBC/Ch. 5): The 128th annual parade, live from Pasadena, Calif.

• College football: Outback Bowl — Florida vs. Iowa (11 a.m., ABC/Ch. 4); Cotton Bowl — Western Michigan vs. Wisconsin (11 a.m., ESPN); Rose Bowl — Penn State vs. USC (3 p.m., ESPN); Sugar Bowl — Auburn vs. Oklahoma (6:30 p.m., ESPN)

• NBA (5:30 p.m., ROOT): Utah Jazz at Brooklyn Nets

• "Kevin Can Wait" (7 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2): Kevin's tries to surprise Donna by buying her a long-overdue engagement ring

• "The Bachelor" (7 p.m., ABC/Ch. 4): Another season of this phony "reality" show begins. This time, the bachelor is Nick Viall, a two-time runner-up on "The Bachelorette" (who slept with both those women).

Among the 30 women competing for Nick is Briana Guertler, 28, a registered nurse who lives in Salt Lake City.

• "The New Celebrity Apprentice" (7 p.m., NBC/Ch. 5): So … NBC decided and Mark Burnett decided to replace former host Donald Trump with Arnold Schwarzenegger — yet another guy who very publicly cheated on his wife and who has faced multiple accusations that he groped multiple women.

• "MasterChef Celebrity Showdown" (7 p.m., Fox/Ch. 13): Gordon Ramsay and Christina Tosi invite stars and past ``MasterChef'' contestants to participate in culinary showdowns. First up — Trai Byers, Cheryl Hines and Anthony Anderson compete.

• "Man with a Plan" (7:30 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2): Adam isn't happy when he discovers that Andi has a close male friend at work.

• "2 Broke Girls" (8 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2): Max and Caroline stow away and waitress on a riverboat going to New Orleans.

• "The Odd Couple" (8:30 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2): Oscar convinces Charlotte to take Felix out on their art and culture date in his place.

• "Scorpion" (9 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2): The team freezes Cabe's body after he's seriously wounded by shrapnel while on a mission in the desert.

• "The Wall" (9 p.m., NBC/Ch. 5): Chris Hardwick is the smarmy host of this game show.

• "ShadowHunters" (9 p.m., Freeform): Jace's departure creates upheaval in The Institute;. (Season premiere)
