It's a bit early, but it's Christmas tonight on "This Is Us" (8 p.m., NBC/Ch. 5).

It's Christmas Eve, actually, and Kate has an attack of appendicitis. So the entire family is at the hospital.

In the past, the Pearsons run into Dr. K — who delivered the babies — who is himself a patient. And he's all alone.

In the present, Kevin celebrates Hanukkah with Sloane and her family; Kate continues to pursue her big surgery; and someone from William's past reappears in his life.
