"DC's Legends of Tomorrow" (7 p.m., CW/Ch. 30) gives us the conclusion of the four-part crossover that has taken us through "Supergirl," "The Flash" and "Arrow" — and, at long last, there's actual fighting between the heroes and the aliens.

We learn why Earth is being invaded by the Dominators, and it's kind of a surprise. And one particularly annoying character from one of the shows actually stops being so annoying … at long last.

Also tonight, "A Charlie Brown Christmas" — arguably TV's best Christmas special — returns (7 p.m., ABC/Ch. 4).

• "The Great American Baking Show" (8 p.m., ABC/Ch. 4): In the Season 2 premiere, the contestants bake a variety of cakes, cookies and biscotti.

• "Pitch" (8 p.m., Fox/Ch. 13): Rumor is that Mike has waived the no-trade clause in his contract.

• "Supernatural" (8 p.m., CW/Ch. 30): Lucifer realizes that as rock star Vince Vincente, he can get his fans to do whatever he wants.

• "Life In Pieces" (8:30 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2): John encourages Samantha to skip her ballet class and take up boxing; Jen tries to quietly get a second opinion when Tim tells her she needs tonsil surgery.

• "Pure Genius" (9 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2): The surgeons must perfect a remote surgery when an astronaut on the International Space Station needs an emergency procedure.
