It's Thanksgiving, so there are parades, a lot of football and the traditional dog show.

That's the National Dog Show (noon, NBC/Ch. 5), which is oddly addictive.

• There are also a bunch of marathons, but none more marathon-like that FXX's "The Simpsons" 600 Marathon, which begins at noon. The cable channel will air the first 600 episodes of the animated series in chronological order — an event that will end on Dec. 7.

Other marathons include:

• "The Andy Griffith Show" from 7 a.m.-6 p.m. on TV Land.

• "Jurassic Park" at 9 a.m.; "The Lost World: Jurassic Park" at noon; "Jurassic Park 3" at 3 p.m.; "Jurassic Park" at 5 p.m.; and "The Lost World: Jurassic Park" at 8 p.m. on Spike.

• "Parks and Recreation" from 8 a.m.-1 a.m. Friday on Esquire.

• "Star Trek" and "Star Trek: The Next Generation" on BBC America from 7 a.m.-9:25 p.m. Saturday, and then from 11 p.m. Saturday-6 a.m. Sunday.

• "Will & Grace: from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. on WeTV.

• "Z Nation" from 7 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday on Syfy.

• "Life In Pieces" (8:30 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2): John thinks Joan's teacher has a crush on her; Tyler and Clementine have Matt and Colleen over for dinner; Lark takes her first steps while Greg is away.

• "Pure Genius" (9 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2): James encourages a hockey player with a spinal injury to undergo risky surgery.
