The Utah Jazz tip off early (5 p.m., ROOT) — they're in Orlando to take on the Magic.

And the Utah football teams gets a jump on the weekend with a Thursday-night game — the Utes are in Tempe to do battle with Arizona State (7:30 p.m., Fox Sports 1).
