The 68th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards are on Sunday (6 p.m., ABC/Ch. 4), and I'm sort of ambivalent.

Hey, I cover TV for a living. I'm interested to see who wins.

And one of my all-time favorite shows, "Game of Thrones," just might make Emmy history.

Plus, I like host Jimmy Kimmel — I expect he'll do a good job.

But, as with all such awards show, watching rich, famous people pat each other (and themselves) on the back can be tiresome. And the fact is that the best shows aren't always nominated for — let alone win — Emmys.

But … I'll be watching. And I'm planning to tweet my little fingers off @ScottDPierce.
