Donald Trump is scheduled to deliver his acceptance speech tonight at the Republican National Convention, and I'm sort of in shock over this.

I can't help but think — this is the guy who, on multiple occasions, sat in front of television critics and both bragged and blithely lied to us. We laughed at him, and now he's the presidential nominee of a major political party.

I guess the laugh's on us TV critics.

Actually, the laugh could be on all of us, right?
