Last week, HBO premiered a really good new drama — "The Night Of" (Sunday, 10 p.m.). This week, the pay-cable channel premieres a new comedy, "Vice Principals" (Sunday, 11:30 p.m.) — can it be two good shows in a row?

Nope.

In this unfunny and just plain dumb new comedy, two vice principals (Danny McBride and Walton Goggins) go to war with each other when it's announced that their principal is retiring.

It's moronic. It's crude. Yes, sometimes crude can be funny — but not this time.

Love "The Night Of." Hate "Vice Principals."

Oh, by the way, on this week's episode of "The Night Of," John Stone instructs Naz to stop talking to anyone — particularly the police.
