Tonight's season finale of "NCIS" (7 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2) is the last episode for one of the original characters. And somebody is going to die on "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." (8 and 9 p.m., ABC/Ch. 4).

Michael Weatherly is exiting "NCIS" after 13 seasons and more than 300 episodes and taking his character, Special Agent Tony DiNozzo, with him.

Weatherly has promised fans a tearjerker, which involves some sort of resolution to his relationship with Ziva (Cote de Pablo, who left the show in 2013).

Meanwhile, over on ABC, yet another character is going to die in the second of two episodes of "S.H.I.E.L.D." Oh, the first episode will tease you that they're about to kill somebody, but they'll hold off for the second hour.

Ho-hum.
