No, the Flash is not Mormon. But Supergirl's boss thought he might be. Sort of.

If you missed Monday's episode of "Supergirl," it featured a crossover with "The Flash." Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) helped Kara Danvers — aka Supergirl (Melisa Benoist) — battle a couple of villains. And he met Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart), who is Kara's intimidating boss.

Nobody told Cat that Barry is the Flash; she figured it out for herself.

"Oh, please," she said. "Barry shows up. The Flash shows up.... And he was so unfailingly charming and nice that he had to either be a superhero or a Mormon."

(The next time somebody claims that Mormons are always portrayed negatively on TV, be sure to bring up this example.)

By the way, the events in Tuesday's episode of "The Flash" (7 p.m., CW/Ch 30) actually take place before the events in Monday's episode of "Supergirl." Such are the difficulties of shows on two different networks — even though CBS co-owns and manages The CW.

Tonight, Barry goes back in time to find a way to increase is speed so he can take on Zoom.

• Also tonight, CBS is airing the very entertaining "The Late Late Show Carpool Karaoke Primetime Special" (9 p.m., Ch. 2). It features the best bit Corden has — he gets big-time singers to ride with him in a car, sings with them and interviews them. It's very funny stuff.

This hour features a repeat of his full Carpool Karaoke with Adele (which is fantastic), a new segment with Jennifer Lopez (also very funny); and bits of other ride-alongs. There are other highlights in what amounts to a promo for his late-night show — and CBS is hoping it will drive audiences there.

• BYU fans take note — the Cougars are in Madison Square Garden tonight for the semifinals of the National Invitation Tournament. In the first game, it's BYU vs. Valparaiso (5 p.m, ESPN); in the second game, it's George Washington vs. San Diego State (7 p.m., ESPN)

The winners will play for the NIT championship on Thursday at 5 p.m. on ESPN.
