"The X-Files" (Sunday, 8 p.m., Fox/Ch. 13) returns with six new episodes. (And that time is approximate — it will air after the NFL playoff game.)

The first episode is quite intriguing — reuniting Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson) and sending them on a revived quest to find the truth about the alien conspiracy. Then Episodes 2-5 are monster-of-the-week, which is disappointing.
