There are several comic-book related offering tonight, and a couple of them are really good.

"The Flash" (7 p.m., CW/Ch. 30) is not just the best comic-book show on TV, it's one of the best shows on TV — period. Tonight, Barry considers telling Patty that he is The Flash.

"Marvel's Agent Carter" (8 p.m., ABC/Ch. 4) returns for a second season, and it's still better than the show it's temporarily replacing, "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." In the Season 2 premiere, Peggy moves to Hollywood and investigates a strange homicide in which the body glows and emanates cold.

And there are also a couple of program-length advertisements. "DC's Legends of Tomorrow: Their Time Is Now" (8 p.m., CW/Ch. 30) takes a look at the origin stories of the heroes and villains from "DC's Legends of Tomorrow," including madman Vandal Savage, Rip Hunter, Hawkman, Hawkgirl, White Canary, The Atom, Firestorm, Captain Cold and Heat Wave.

"Legends of Tomorrow," by the way, premieres Thursday at 7 p.m. on The CW … and it's not that great.

That's followed by a second half-hour commercial. Kevin Smith hosts "DC Films Presents: Dawn of the Justice League" (8:30 p.m., CW/Ch. 30), a behind-the-scenes look at upcoming films from the DC universe, including "Suicide Squad" and "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."
