"The Golden Globes" (6 p.m., NBC/Ch. 5) are not particularly legitimate. There are always questions about the voting and bigger questions about the membership of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which does the voting.

But Ricky Gervais is back as the host this year. And if you don't take who wins and who loses the least bit seriously, the Globes can be fun.

Also this weekend, the NFL playoffs get underway with games on both Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, it's Kansas City Chiefs at Houston Texans (2:30 p.m., ESPN) and Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals (4:15 p.m., CBS/Ch. 2).

On Sunday, it's Seattle Seahawks at Minnesota Vikings (11 a.m., NBC/Ch. 5) and Green Bay Packers at Washington (2:40 p.m., Fox/Ch. 13).
