In the wake of the terrorist attacks in Paris on Friday, CBS has switched out the episodes of "Supergirl" (7 p.m., Ch. 2) and "NCIS: Los Angeles" (9 p.m., Ch. 2) it had scheduled to air tonight.

Yes, it seems like an overabundance of caution. I've not seen the episode of "NCIS: L.A." that was originally supposed to air — the plot concerns a serch for a missing teenage girl who may have been recruited by terrorists. But I have seen the episode of "Supergirl" that was originally supposed to air — the plot features several bombings in National City, but bears no resemblance to the real events in France.

However, I'm certainly not going to criticize CBS for showing caution.

The network has moved a couple of episodes schedule for later telecast up to tonight. On "Supergirl," Thanksgiving comes a week early. Kara's adoptive mother (played by Helen Slater, who starred as Supergirl in the 1984 movie) is in town, and she isn't happy about Kara's new role as a superhero. And an accident transforms a volatile CatCo employee into the villainous Livewire.

And on "NCIS: Los Angeles," the team searches for Jada a missing woman Sam led to asylum in the United States four years ago.
