I have to admit that, most years, I don't really get too interested in who wins the World Series. But this is not most years.

For the first time in since 2000, the New York Mets are playing. They're in Kansas City tonight (6 p.m., Fox/Ch. 13) for Game 1 against the Royals.

I'd forgotten how stressful postseason baseball can be. For the sake of my mental health, I'm hoping the Mets win easily.

But I don't expect that they will. At this point, I'm hoping the Mets win one of the first two games in Kansas City and head back to New York tied.

Let's go Mets!
