The best character on the original "Heroes" series was Hiro Nakamura (Masi Oka), whose delight with his newfound powers lightened what would have been an otherwise stifling dark show.

Hiro has been nowhere to be seen on "Heroes Reborn" (7 p.m., NBC/Ch. 5) — until tonight. Hiro returns to join the fight to save humanity.

Also this week, Noah searches for answers; Tommy and Emily embark on an unexpected journey; Luke has to deal with becoming an Evo; and Malina gains an unexpected Ally.
