This week's episode of CBS' true-crime series "48 Hours" (9 p.m. Saturday, Ch. 2) is about a Las Vegas murder — with a Utah angle.

The victim, Shauna Tiaffay, was a Salt Lake native.

Title "Vengeance in Vegas," the episode recounts how, "in the early morning hours of Sept. 29, 2012, Shauna Tiaffay checked out of her job as cocktail waitress at the Palms Casino Hotel and headed home. When she got there someone was waiting for her— someone who brutally beat the 46-year-old mother of a young girl to death with a hammer."

Her husband, George, had a "solid alibi." And the investigation takes some surprising turns.
