Fox premieres a couple of new half-hour comedies tonight, and I like both of them.

In "Grandfathered" (7 p.m., Fox/Ch. 13), John Stamos stars as a 50-year-old who learns that not only does he have a son he never knew existed, but that his son has an infant daughter. It's clever, adult and funny. Click here for more on "Grandfathered."

In "The Grinder" (7:30 p.m., Fox/Ch. 13), Rob Lowe stars as popular TV lawyer whose drama series ends, so he returns to his hometown to work in the family law firm and squares off with his younger brother (Fred Savage). It's very likable. Click here for more on "The Grinder."
