The Season 2 premiere of "Fresh Off the Boat" (7:30 p.m., ABC/Ch. 4) has sort of a Utah angle. Really.

It's the summer of 1995, and young Eddie (Hudson Yang) thinks he's set for the upcoming school year because he's got a pair of really cool, really expensive basketball shoes. And then … he sees Utah Jazz guard John Stockton wearing the exact same shoes on TV.

And, suddenly, those basketball shoes aren't cool anymore.

Like the rest of this show, it's pretty funny. Glad to see it's back.

"POV" (11 p.m., PBS/Ch. 7) "Don't Tell Anyone" tells the story of Angy Rivera, who came to the U.S. at age 3 when her mother fled Colombia — and their undocumented status left them living in the shadows.
